A Mom’s Journey To Acceptance And Survival

Mom and Me, a HooplaHa original series that features YouTuber son Pat Graziosi and his mother Teresa Graziosi, inspires us to think happier and be positive every day. They've taught us lessons about raising a family to learning how to cook Italian food, but have you ever noticed that Teresa never stands up or walks? That's because Teresa is a paraplegic and confined to a wheelchair.

On this emotional and revealing episode of Mom & Me, Teresa tells us the heart-wrenching details of the accident that put her in a wheelchair and changed her and her families' lives forever.

In 1993, Pat was a year old when his mother was injured. "It happened so fast... and just like that your life changes" says Teresa. "I went from walking and standing to being in a wheelchair while raising my kids."

Teresa's advice to people in similar situations is, "Don't give up. Keep on going and take it one day at a time and you can live a happy life."

Pat wants everyone to learn from his mom's situation. "Whatever disability you have there is hope. Everybody has the strength to continue on no matter what."

Pat Graziosi is a blogger, producer, You Tuber and voice artist. To see more of Pat, visit his website, his YouTube Channel – Think Happier, Live Happier, and his educational animation YouTube Series Life Noggin.

This LST 325 is the only LST ship left (out of 1,051 made) that has been fully restored and still operational. Plans were initially made for a D-Day memorial service in 2014 for the ship, but it was canceled because of a shortage of finances.
