Join HooplaHa At The Greenwich Food + Wine Fesitval

Well folks, it's that time again. The 2014 Greenwich Food + Wine Festival will take place September 25-27 at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, CT.

If you joined us last year, you know what a success it was!  HooplaHa will be there again this year. For those of you not familiar, the festival, supported by Serendipity, supports the Paul Newman’s The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. This is an organization that helps children and their families coping with cancer, sickle cell anemia and other serious illnesses. All proceeds from the festival’s Kick-Off Party, live and silent auctions and direct donations benefit the organization. The event is full of fun including, food tastings, BBQ Pit Demonstrations, Celebrity Book Store, Burger Battle and Concert Stage featuring The Marshal Tucker Band!

The twelve chefs, two pastry chefs and chef restaurateur Jean-Georges Vongerichten will be honored at the event’s Most Innovative Chefs Gala on Friday evening, as they create and serve up dishes of their ingenious foods.  In addition, chef restaurateur, author and television personality Geoffrey Zakarian (“Chopped,” “The Kitchen”) will be honored at the event.  The local talent from Fairfield County that will be honored are as follows:

Tickets are now on sale for events throughout the entire weekend, including the Kick-Off Oysters & Wine tasting, the Most Innovative Chefs Gala and the Saturday Festival including the Culinary Village and the Taste of the South. They are also accepting volunteer applications. The event wouldn't be possible without the awesome help of volunteers, so sign up if you have some free time and want to enjoy the event!

Tennis Program Helps Underserved Teens Develop Resilience On and Off the Court

Tennis is a popular and fun pastime, in that it requires mental focus and athletic ability. But due to the cost of equipment and court time, lots of kids never get the chance to try their hand at the sport. Never Too Old To Love: Music Video About Lovable Senior Dogs

They are often overlooked in shelters, as many people prefer to adopt puppies, and yet as they experience age-related changes like diminished senses and strength, they become more dependent on humans.
