Jack Pennington is a freelance filmmaker from Winston-Salem, NC, and a graduate of UNC School of the Arts School of Filmmaking.
He started his career as a staff writer for a public access sitcom, "Solid Ground" in Warner Robbins, GA at the age of 18. Since then, he has worked on dozens of projects, including feature films, documentaries, commercials, web series, and music videos. His credits include such diverse roles as grip, gaffer, camera operator, AC, DP, director, writer, and even actor.
Now, Jack focuses on producing documentaries for organizations, filmmakers, and musicians. He is currently producing a feature length documentary about his family called "The Rocking J". His on-going documentary series, "Have Story, Will Tell" features first person anecdotes, presented without editing and in real time. It can be found on YouTube.
Outside of film, Jack is an avid gamer, a decent disc golfer, and a terrible tennis player. He's a lover of analog photography, and enjoys hiking with his Pentax in the mountains of North Carolina, or snapping blurry Diana pictures of downtown Greensboro.
