3. Estella the Guinea Pig: Harvest Home Sanctuary in Stockton, California, specializes in rescuing abused, abandoned and neglected animals. Estella arrived there with a broken back and paralysis in her legs but innovative thinking and timely support gave her a second chance at life!

4. Pet Photo Booth: The Humane Society of Utah had an idea and their adoption rates are soaring… create head turning, amazing photos and post on social media. Wait until you see these adorable faces!

Host Michelle Ray Smith was born in Michigan to a family that loved nature and animals, especially dogs. Growing up, Michelle and her sister explored the outdoors, learning about all the things that lived around them. Today Michelle is an accomplished actress (Law & Order, Guiding Light), and a Victoria Secrets model. She is also an entrepreneur as founder of an organic cleaning company.

This Charity Plants Food and Hope! – Meals By Grace (P2)

Inspiring hope for those going through tough times is at the core of what "Meals By Grace" is doing for their community in Cummings, Georgia. In Part 1 of this story, we showed how volunteers for this non-profit met every Sunday to prepare meals for students and families in need so that they have nutritional food for their homes.

In Part 2, you will learn how their efforts go well beyond providing food. As the Meals by Grace volunteer force got larger, they developed programs to also help families get back on their feet after setbacks in health or employment. One effort created guided sessions in life and job skills to fill these gaps for families in difficult circumstances.
