Inspiring 98-Year-Old Woman Refuses To Stop Living
What would you do if your license was taken away for no (good) reason? This happened to Evelyn. The 98-year-old had her's taken away for no reason other than her age. She had never gotten a ticket, infraction, nothing. Evelyn may be old, but she is very young at heart. This firecracker doesn't want to stop going places because someone thinks she should.
She lives in a retirement community with lots of her friends. She made a promise to her neighbor that she would drive her to the store every week. After her license was taken away, she knew she had to do something.
"When you make a promise, it's important for me to keep that promise if it's possible. I'm on the earth, I'm here. If I can contribute, I should. Shouldn't we all? And not just think of ourselves? I don't have money to give, but I can give myself," she says in the video.
At age 98 she retook her driver's test. And passed with flying colors. Evelyn is an inspiration to us all. Don't sit down and be quiet just because someone thinks you should. Don't stop living just because you are over a certain age. I am so thankful to have 'met' Evelyn through this incredible video.
