In Honor Of Adolfe Sax, Enthusiastic Saxophonists
On November 6, 1814, Adolfe Sax was birthed into the mystical land of Dinant, Belgium. In just 32 years (1846) he would create the very first saxophone. Little did he know that in a little over a hundred years, his invention would be mastered by John Coltrane, whose records would then be used to by teenage boys to trick girls into thinking they were suave, which obviously worked every time.
Ah yes, the saxophone. It is the sword of the musical Adonis; it's call is that of the smoldering debonaire, the fierce performer of LIFE. When the drum major screams, "More sax! WE NEED MORE SAX."
The saxophonists/demi-gods respond, "NO PROBLEM."
Everyone can always use more sax. Just ask David Bowie.
Happy birthday Adolfe Sax! We're obviously making the most of your legacy. #SaxOn.
