Hundreds Of Trucks Lead Funeral Procession For 3-Year-Old Boy
Incredibly moving and beautiful acts can come from our darkest hours. While this is indeed a very sad time for the family of Elijah, a 3 year old who lost his battle to a rare disease, it's beautiful to see the strength of community.
The toddler from Arizona had been battling Langerhans cell histiocytosis but died on August 21. The boy loved trucks! His family couldn't think of a better way to honor his short, but amazing, life than with a parade. After a family member posted on Facebook about their idea more trucks than they could've imagined showed up on the day of his funeral.
A fleet of huge vehicles came together to celebrate the life of a little boy. There were everything from fire engines, monster trucks, dump trucks and military vehicles. There were over 200 trucks their to honor a very special boy.
"That's what a community does," Sam Koster, who brought her truck, told the news outlet. "They all come together. And that's what this family needs."
Elijah going to use his Make-A-Wish to attend the Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas. The monster truck group had named Elijah their “Fan of the Week.” Sadly, he wasn't able to make it but Friday’s procession gave him the monster truck show he deserved.
