High Schooler Gives His $40,000 Scholarship To Other Students
This high school student is not only an amazing basketball player but also an exceptional human being.
Allan Guei has always been a hard worker. Thanks to his high GPA and love for basketball, he was allowed to be in a free throw competition to win $40,000 in scholarship funds. Known as a basketball star at Compton High School in LA, this would be a breeze for the 18 year old student. Going up against seven other classmates, Allan won the competition. What he did with his winnings was the real amazing feat, though.
Due to his skills, Allan received a full ride basketball scholarship to California State University at Northridge. He told his principal that he wants to give the $40,000 scholarship to the other classmates who participated in the tournament.
Guei stated: “I’ve already been blessed so much and I know we're living with a bad economy, so I know this money can really help my classmates. It was the right decision.” The students truly appreciated the gift and were surprised that there were people as generous as Allan. What an incredible kid!
