Healing Children With Brain Tumors Through Film
Angelight Films is a non-profit production company that gives children with brain and spinal cord tumors the opportunity to express themselves through film. Founded by Stephanie Angel, whose sister passed away from a brain tumor when she was only 5 years-old, Stephanie created Angelight Films as creative outlet that helps children heal and recognize their inner light.
"When I met these kids, I saw a unique light in them that reminded me of my sister," she said. "I want them to know that their uniqueness is special."
Angelight Films allows the children to star in their own production; they chose the plot, play the main lead, and help with decision-making in the film. It is their creative project. Angelight Films is just their to make it possible.
"Each child has such a unique perspective; I learn so much in every film I make for them."
