Halloween - What Are You Going As?
Trick or treat? We have both.
The Halloween tradition started with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. After Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints, the evening before became known as All Hallows Eve, and later Halloween.
Slowly but surely Halloween became its own day with lots of activities like dressing up in costumes and trick-or-treating and carving pumpkins. All of these events are captured in this celebratory video. If you have a dog, you can get it into an outfit, as well. So, what are YOU dressing up as?
Happy All Hallows Eve!
