'Goodwill' Puppies Find Forever Homes
Three puppies who were left at a Goodwill Donation center are lucky to receive a second chance.
The young puppies were left inside a cardboard box to later be found by passerbys.
Jamie McAloon, Executive Director at the McKamey Animal Center, said that although the puppies were neglected and did not have the socialization that they needed, they are doing much better now.
"They've really made a quick improvement," McAloon said. "Everyone on our staff and our volunteers were holding them, exercising them, getting them that socialization that they desperately needed."
The puppies have gained national attention after they were found and one has already found a home. Meg Werner and Charles Sanford took one of the puppies, Marilyn, home.
"I picked her up and I fell in love," Werner said. "I just felt horrible when I heard their story. How could someone do that?"
Marilyn's two siblings, Greta and Bette, are hoping to be adopted soon as well.
