Gary Sinise Foundation Sponsors Trip To Hollywood For Wounded Veterans
In the classic American movie Forrest Gump, Gary Sinese plays a gravely wounded Vietnam Veteran named Lieutenant Dan. That experience sill resonates with him twenty years later as head of the Gary Sinese Foundation, offering programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities for today's defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and others in need. Sinese recently provided an all expenses paid trip to Hollywood for fifty gravely wounded warriers, mingling with many A-listers there (including Forrest Gump himself, Tom Hanks). From Disneyland to Paramount Pictures and even a parade down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Sinese made sure to send them home with a smile.
