First Student With Autism To Graduate From This Law School Passes Bar Exam
Erik Weber is the kind of man who can and will do anything he sets his mind too, including graduating law school and passing the bar exam on his first try! He is the first student with autism to graduate from Cal Western School of Law and the first to pass the challenging bar exam. He credits his mom, Sandi Weber, and hard work to his success.
“When I first opened it up on May 15th, I closed it down and checked it again to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating,” Erik said about checking his score on his laptop.
After being diagnosed with autism at age 3, Erik had trouble in many different areas, including in verbal skills and social skills. Sandi put all her heart into her son and made sure he was learning the best he could so that he would be able to live a normal life and achieve success.
Now Erik is practicing in the field of special education law.
“I got into it because I wanted to help other people with special needs, other people like me,” Erik said.
