Disney AWESOMELY Defines What It Means To Be A Princess
If you want to be a princess, you'll need to do more than sing to squirrels and get rescued. That is what Disney is now telling us, which is definitely a good thing. We hear "princess," and think of a fair-skinned beauty that can sing to rabbits and sleep for a loooong time until a prince comes and wakes her up/rescues her.
Disney gets a lot of flack for pigeon-holing girls into this damsel-in-distress archetype, but I've got to hand it to them for this one. There's no reason a girl can't wear a tiara but also kick some ass when she needs to.
