Disabled Artists Use Technology to Tap Into Creative Powers
Artists such as Rafael Garcia, have blown the potential for great art wide open.
Those with physical disabilities have long since been an untapped resource of artistic talent, keeping them from creating the canvases of color you and I take for granted. Thanks to Tim Lefins, founder of the A.R.T Project, physical handicaps no longer inhibit artists from creating masterpieces. Thanks to a non-profit called A.R.T., disabled individuals bring their creative visions to life with the help of special technologies and highly trained assistants.
In this video, Tim and his volunteers provide artists with hand held laser beam technology to guide their assistants with paint brushes along the canvas, conveying the images they could only dream of before. Not only do these creators discover their artistic identities, but they can finally display their gifts to the world by doing what they love!
When it comes to masterpieces, disability is only a minor set-back. For more information about A.R.T., check out their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/
