Coloring Books Are A Fun Stress Reliever

"Adult Coloring" is a phenomenon that helps grown-ups relieve stress with the help of just crayons and paper. As stress increases into their lives, women can often times turn to alcohol, overeating or develop other harmful habits, but this activity is a healthy way to de-stress.

Shyla Jannusch lives just outside of Chicago and hosts "coloring parties" for her and her friends. Her Facebook group, "Coloring For All", has gained nearly 1500 members in less than 3 months.

"I always say, you need crayons and your imagination," Jannusch said. "Anybody can do this."

It is becoming easy to find adult coloring books on websites such as Amazon.com as more and more adults are ditching the expensive spas and sitting down at their kitchen table with a box a crayons and a coloring book.

Johanna Basford and Lisa Congdon are just two of the artists that design adult coloring books

"I think for women who don't know how to draw or don't feel comfortable or confident drawing, this is another way to socialize and have an activity that they can do with other people." Congdon said.

You may think you've entered a typical American roadside eatery, but your experience here will be anything but ordinary.

You have just stepped into the Bendix Diner, a staple in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey since the 1940's. It's no surprise that The Bendix can serve up a sizzling Burger with deep fried onion rings and a frothy chocolate shake.
