National Tourism Day: College Professor Creates Hope For The Homeless
One college professor is changing the lives of the homeless around the country. You may remember Willie Baronet from our HooplaHa original video, Eclectic Artist Brings Homelessness To Light Through Thought Provoking Collection, which highlighted the artist's journey collecting homeless signs and shedding light on their lifestyle. Well, Willie's back and continuing to create hope for the homeless with his traveling art exhibit, which sheds light on the daily struggles of someone who doesn't have a home. And with his work, Willie's is lifting spirits in homeless communities across America!
Willie Baronet is a college professor and artist in Dallas, TX and since 1993, he has been buying and collecting homeless signs. His thought-provoking art collection went viral as he traveled across the country from Seattle to NYC and his homeless signs creation became the subject of a successful traveling art exhibit. His journey across the country and the people he met along the way have become the basis of a documentary called Signs of Humanity. Since we caught up with Willie in 2015, his project has grown countrywide and is changing the lives of so many people.
