Friends Start Inspiring Business: College Creamery Ice Cream Truck
"Ring-A-Ling-A-Ling". All across America these chimes turn our heads and remind us of one of the joys of summer - our local ice cream truck!
College Creamery is an ice cream truck business run entirely by college students from Wilton, CT. Lindsay, Taylor and Steph, the 20-year-old founders of College Creamery, opened for business during the spring of 2011. You can see them driving around town in their restored and hand painted 1977 Chevy ice cream truck.
After covering the costs of keeping the business running, College Creamery's net proceeds go towards helping pay for the 3 girls' college expenses and supporting education in their local community.
"We like to donate a lot money to different education foundations and different causes in the area," Lindsay noted. "We think it's very important to get an education so we like to support other people who are also in pursuit of an education."
Take a ride with these 3 smart ladies and see how bringing summer treats to their friends and neighbors is also providing needed support for school in the fall.
