Being of Italian descent cooking and food was a major part of growing up. My parents shared the cooking duties and involved their sons any chance they could. After graduating from high school and playing for one of the most storied high school lacrosse programs in the country I moved on to Ithaca College. While in Ithaca I pursued the loves of my life; education, lacrosse, food, and my future wife, Amy. I graduated from college with a degree in Applied Psychology. Upon graduating I took a position with a financial software company as a corporate trainer. I spent 7 years designing and delivering training to a wide array finance professionals. In addition to my “day job” I took on the role of head lacrosse coach at the local high school. In all of my experience and travels the one common thread that always pops up is food. As an adult I became very serious about my food prep and designing menus. I would spend large amounts of time and money planning and executing decadent family meals, killer backyard barbeques and elevating the food at tailgates. One of my proudest culinary accomplishments was leading my barbeque team, Generation Swine, to multiple awards at the Westport Blues, Views, and Barbeque Festival. Inspired by a video on Hooplaha.com, my goal is to blend family, friends, fun, and food into a career.
