Charity Race Runners Stop To Thank Veteran Along The Way

95-year-old veteran Joe Bell dressed in full uniform to cheer on the runners during the San Jose 408k race, when one person deviated from the route to shake his hand and thank him for his service. The idea spread as dozens of runners added on a bit of time to show their appreciation. This race was dedicated to the memory of Pat Tillman, the former NFL player who was killed in 2004 while deployed in Afghanistan.
