Celebrate Earth Day With HooplaHa
What we did.
Get inspired for Earth Day by checking out what HooplaHa.com--Life with a Smile did to help restore Misquamicut Beach as part of their #GivingVine Goes Green 2013 movement. HooplaHa held an all-day beach-clean up to help restore the beach to it's pre-sandy glory--just in time for beach season!
Here's Steph to tell us about how the #GivingVine went green:
And how HooplaHa is working with A Billion Acts of Green:
Here's how to celebrate Earth Day with the Giving Vine:
1. First, grab your iPhone and download the Vine app. The Vine app is an exclusive apple thing.
The logo looks like this:
2. Record an act of green using the "Vine" application.
Basic instructions: Once you have it downloaded, open the application. In the top right-hand corner, there will be an icon that looks like a video recorder. Tap it. A feed will then come up. To record, hold a finger down on the screen. As long as your finger is on the screen, a video will record. You can make a stop motion video, or one continuous video, depending on how you want the clip to come out. Your videos can be no shorter than three seconds and no longer than six. It's a little tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be hooked. Here's a terrific guide that will show you how to do all sorts of tricks to make each video better than the last. Now get out there and film you and your friends committing your own Earth-friendly deeds.
3. Share your Vine video on Twitter and hashtag #GivingVine!
