Caly’s Single “Head Held High” is Released! (Caly on the Good - E3)

At 15, Caly Bevier put her life on hold to battle ovarian cancer. Now, at 18, with her music propelling her forward, Caly is ready to release her new single, "Head Held High", and leave cancer in her dust.

On this episode, we see Caly do a Facebook live with her fans to drum up excitement for her upcoming single release which was actually the first song she ever wrote in a recording session. She shares her thoughts about the creative process, chats with some fans, and reminds everyone that she thinks of them as one big team together and how important their support is to her.

Caly is currently an unsigned artist without a music label which means it's all on her and her team to make everything happen. For one who has overcome so much, Caly sees this is as just another hurdle to work through and is looking to her fans to help her get to the place she wants to be.

An important perspective Caly has recently gained is her growing role as a force of hope and support for those who are going through chemo and their cancer fight, just like she did. To make it easier to have a closer connection with her followers, Caly has created a special Digits number that fans can text or call into and talk to her directly. She remembers how there was no one her age to look up to when she was going through her fight, and now she wants to be that role model of success who fought the fight, beat cancer, and is accessible. "I think being able to talk to someone, definitely someone of a younger age who can relate to you and understand, is a big deal."

For now, "Head Held High" is only the first step, not only for her, but for those who need that extra inspiration to fight their own fight. "If you're going through something that is breaking you down," she explains, "I want this song to lift you up and really make you think, I've got to be positive, I can get through this."
