Caly On The Good (E9) – Being a "Total Package Girl", Being Inspiring!

"Empower Yourself" is a strong and positive message for a tween or teen girl, but understanding how to achieve it, with all the conflicting messages in our hyper-active, techno driven culture, is a serious challenge. On this episode of Caly on the Good, we see Caly in Toledo OH, participating in the Total Package Girl: Empower Yourself! Conference, focusing on what it means to be seen as a girl power icon who can inspire young women and girls across the world.

Caly was invited to this event by Total Package CEO, Kristi Hoffman, because of her remarkable cancer recovery story and the way she has navigated the ups and downs of a challenging music career. "She's a perfect example of the Total Package Girl and that body, brain, spirit empowerment." Kristi explained. "She's just that 'it' girl. Being a part of this girl's leadership summit, she really shows girls what it's like to work through adversity."

Caly, along with a panel of other inspirational women, will be telling their compelling stories, hoping to help the hundreds of girls in attendance to believe in themselves and learn about leadership and perseverance. She will also be singing her recently released single, Head Held High, and doing a Q&A with Kristi.

A consistent theme of the event is being true to who you are in a turbulent world. "No matter what, I will always be myself and I will always fight for the things that I love even if other people don't like it," Caly related. "This is my body, this is me, this is who I am and I want other people to see that it's OK to change what you look like, or become who you feel like, for yourself and not for others."

See and hear more of Caly as Girl Power Icon, lifting up others while taking another step on her own path of personal growth.
