Boston Strong Cancer Patient To Finish What She Started
Elinor Scott is the epitome of "Boston Strong." In 2013, she was one mile from the finish line at the Boston Marathon when her run was cut short by the tragic bombings.
While Scott and her daughter, who was cheering her mother on, luckily were able to walkaway unscathed, she received heartbreaking news soon after when was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
However, 51-year-old Scott told KARE 11 News that she refuses to accept her diagnosis at “face value.” Instead, she is slowly working on her endurance and received special permission to run or walk the last mile of this year’s Boston Marathon.
“Each day my goal is to overshoot my run a little past my front door,” she told the news outlet.
Way to stay Boston Strong Elinor!
