A Collage Of Metrocard Colors In New York City
One person's castoff can become another's inspiration!
Meet Nina Boesch, a NY based interaction designer from Germany, who has been creating collages from discarded MetroCards® for over 10 years.
"I just like the fact that you can create something beautiful out of something other people consider trash," Nina noted. "I get inspired for my art wherever I go. All it takes sometimes is a single Subway ride."
Amazing Metrocard collages are made from cut up pieces of used and expired New York City subway tickets. All of her artworks are one-of-a-kind and can contain over 10,000 pieces from up to 500 MetroCards. Initially just for friends and family, Nina has recently reached for a broader audience with exhibits in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Laguna Beach, California.
