Army Mom Stands Strong for Veterans
Ida Gonzalez is a pillar of strength despite incredible tragedy. In August 2008, her son was killed while serving for the US Army in Baghdad, Iraq. Since his death, Ida's life has taken on a new purpose of empowering others, making it her mission to become a determined advocate for veterans everywhere.
Ida founded Butterfly Circle of Friends, a nonprofit in her hometown of Spotswood, NJ, to help those in need in the local community and worldwide. Her biggest goal is to help families who have also lost children to find hope and healing in their life.
