Annual Pi Day Zeroes In On A Special Number

Every year on March 14, math enthusiasts mark the date as Pi Day since it is 3/14 which approximates to the number 3.14. According to PiDay.org, the number has been calculated to over a trillion digits beyond its decimal point. If your memory of geometry class has faded a bit, Pi is used to calculate circumference, area and volume of round things. But next year Pi Day will bring a time stamp of the first time digits when it'll be 3/14/15 at 9:26:53 am, the once-in-a-century moment uniting geeks everywhere.
