All Autistic Wedding Spreads Love, Awareness & Hope

** Watching an OGTV original story that showcases the love and marriage of a young couple with autism is a wonderful way to celebrate the spirit of World Autism Awareness Day. **

Dr. Stephen Shore is ordained to perform weddings. He is also on the autism spectrum. It was with special honor that he was asked to officiate at the wedding ceremony for Abraham Nielsen and Anita Lesko who are both also on the spectrum. For Dr. Shore, the event was important for the significance of "seeing that a couple with Autism can fall in love and get married just like everyone else".

Dr. Shore and several others who had roles in the ceremony were part of what was affectionately called the "I Do Crew!" Abraham and Anita arranged this because they knew that individuals on the spectrum are often excluded from celebratory events such as weddings; Anita herself had never been invited to one, and they wanted to change the perceptions society has about those with autism and create an inclusive event for all!

Anita and Abraham met in the spring of 2013 at an Asperger's support group. They were friends for over a year before beginning their romance, and faced extreme obstacles as their relationship developed. As time went on, their love drew them closer and then, one Christmas Eve, Abraham proposed and presented Anita with a ring. She was thrilled and soon their lives were filled with wedding planning.

To make their big day even more significant, the couple decided have their wedding at "Love & Autism: A Conference with Heart" in San Diego, California. This event gathers many in the community and adding this beautiful life event inspired and provided hope for many who attended that they too will find love and happiness.

The big moment has arrived and you're invited!! Grab a seat and watch as once again…love conquers all!

WWII Vet Runs Cross Country to Save His D-Day Ship

** OGTV would like to take a moment to commemorate Armed Forces Day with a story about the unstoppable Ernie Andrus who is still on his latest Coast2Coast run doing his part to keep the memory of his comrades alive. **

Ernie Andrus, now in his 90's, is running cross-country to raise money in order to put the LST 325, the ship he served on in the Navy during WWII, back on the beach in Normandy where it supported the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944.

This LST 325 is the only LST ship left (out of 1,051 made) that has been fully restored and still operational. Plans were initially made for a D-Day memorial service in 2014 for the ship, but it was canceled because of a shortage of finances. Morgan Cuffie, wearing only a robe, stands in front of the camera. She is in a studio with Dr. Stacy Berman, the creator of the 'Love Yourself: The Naked Photoshoot' program, because she had spontaneously agreed to go for it and pose. Now, a million thoughts are running through her head. "You feel this trepidation…and… like…wait…should I be doing this?" she recalled. "There's definitely a point where you forget you're naked. You have complete awareness and no awareness at all. You know that you are naked but you just don't care."
