Airport Staff Does Something Special With Boy's Lost Toy
When Hobbes the stuffed tiger was accidentally left behind at Tampa International Airport, 6-year-old Owen Lake was devastated, that is, until he was shown the adventure that Hobbes went on while they were apart.
Owen's mother, Amanda Lake, said that Hobbes isn't just any toy.
"Hobbes is one of a kind. He was made by hand by his aunt who lives in Houston," Lake said.
Lake called the airport to report the missing toy and after staff recovered Hobbes they decided to make his trip a little more exciting.
Staff took pictures of Hobbes at the gym, with airpot staff and even enjoying some gelato!
Hobbes was eventually returned to Owen on their return flight. Hobbes was waiting for Owen in the lost an found and had a lit of new stories to share with him!
Lake said that Owen was thrilled to learn about Hobbes's adventure and she was very grateful to the airport staff.
"When Owen asked for Hobbes on the plane, my husband and I looked at each other and our hearts sunk. We knew he was left behind," Lake said. "Owen really loves him. He's special, and we are so thankful for the airport and what they did."
