Rescue Dog Gets a New Lease on Life
Meet Addie, a very special pit with a new lease on life!
When Addie arrived at Save-a-Bull Rescue, she was in bad shape. Her condition, immune-mediated polyarthritis, had lead to the deterioration of the carpal joints in her front legs. Addie was unable to walk, as it caused her pain. Instead, she crawled. Other dogs- and people, for that matter- might be discouraged by such a disability. But Addie remained a calm, sweet dog.
With assistance from greatergood.org's Rescue Bank program, Save-a-Bull was able to provide Addie with the special care and equipment that she needed. Your heart will melt when you witness Addie's first steps in her new leg braces. Addie is now able to walk, run and play like a happy, healthy dog.
Help Addie's cause! From July 23rd to the 29th, Recuse Bank aims to raise enough funds to provide 5 million meals for homeless pets nationwide. A $10 donation will pay to deliver 400 meals and saves animal welfare organizations $170 in food costs.
During National Feed a Rescue Pet Week, the pet-loving community can support more rescue dogs like Addie and visit www.feedarescuepet.com. A $10 donation will pay to deliver 400 meals and saves animal welfare organizations $170 in food costs.
