A Service Dog Jumped In Front Of A Bus To Save His Blind Owner
Figo is a Golden Retriever and a service dog for Audrey Stone, who is blind. The two were crossing the street in Brewster, NY, when a school bus driver turned a corner and headed straight toward them.
Figo immediately risked his own life by jumping in front of the bus to save his owner. Stone and Figo suffered injuries, but it could have been a lot worse if not for Figo's bravery. Figo stayed right by his owners side until medical attention came to help.
Figo suffered from a leg injury, but the veterinary staff have confirmed that he is doing very well in recovery.
Now in the hospital waiting to undergo surgery, Stone was given a stuffed animal dog to comfort her until she is able to be reunited with her hero dog once again.
