9/11 Hero Starts FealGood Foundation To Help The Needy
Today, and every day, we honor all our heroes, past and present, that protect our country. In honor of 9/11 we bring you one of these selfless heroes. Not only did John Feal injure himself saving lives on the dreadful day 14 years ago, but he went on to continue helping our country.
Had John Feal’s foot not been horribly injured at Ground Zero on 9/11, many people might never have known his remarkable benevolence. While his foot was treated at the hospital, he watched the families of sick patients lose everything, and felt called to action. He started the FealGood Foundation, which has passed 3 bills in Congress and raised over 1 million dollars for relief effort. The FealGood Foundation is on a mission to "assist all emergency personnel, including but not limited to, construction workers, police officers, firefighters, nurses, volunteers, sanitation workers and transportation workers, within the United States who have been injured, or face serious injury due to proposed action or omission, in the course of their duties or within their everyday lives."
John put others' lives before his on 9/11 and he continues to do so through this remarkable foundation! He is and always will be a true hero!
