17 Bears Rescued From Concrete Pits, Will Now Roam Free
17 were saved from miserable conditions in a concrete enclosure in Georgia, and transported to a wildlife sanctuary in Colorado. Five of them were moved earlier this month, including two pregnant females who were used primarily for breeding purposes. Only until now have they been allowed to keep and raise their cubs. The other 12 were moved Wednesday of last week. The rescue mission was completed by Peta.
