14 Ways to Celebrate National Golf Month

August is National Golf Month, and here are some ways to celebrate it!

1. Go to a driving range

If you are planning on taking full advantage of National Golf Month, you should get some practice in before heading onto the courses!

2. Plan a golf trip

Plan a golf trip with your buddies for the weekend.

3. Take a golf lesson

If you are new to golf or just a little bit rusty, consider taking a golf lesson. Having an instructor correct some things could make a big difference!

4. Play a Par-3 course

Playing on a Par-3 course and focusing on only wedges and mid-irons can help you improve your game overall.

5. Play with your kids

The kids will love learning how to play from their parents. Golf is a sport for all ages and the memories they make while playing will last forever.

6. Get the first tee time

Teeing off early in the morning can be beneficial because you get to lead the way, and the greens are fresh.

7. Play in a charity tournament

Giving back while playing golf is a win-win situation.

8. Play 36

Start your day early, take a break for lunch, and get back out there. You will not forget when you played 36 holes.

9. Walk, don't ride

Get some extra exercise in. If you normally ride the golf cart, walk at least nine holes.

10. Teach a family member or friend

Teach a family member or friend who is new to golf how to play.

11. Download golf apps

Try out some new golfing apps that could help you improve.

12. Keep stats

In addition to scorekeeping, record how many fairways and greens you hit.

13. Bucket list

Make a bucket list of all of the golf courses you want to play on and check them off as you go.

14. Clean your clubs

After National Golf Month, your clubs will probably be dirty! Use a brush tool and water to properly clean them.

Happy Golfing :)

This LST 325 is the only LST ship left (out of 1,051 made) that has been fully restored and still operational. Plans were initially made for a D-Day memorial service in 2014 for the ship, but it was canceled because of a shortage of finances.
