108-Year-Old Celebrates Birthday By Throwing Game Day Pitch
Evelyn Jones set a record for being the oldest person to throw a ceremonial first pitch at a baseball game this past Saturday! Jones, who threw the pitch on her 108th birthday, was surprised with a cake courtesy of the Seattle Mariners and the entire stadium joined together to sing happy birthday.
Jones also brought good luck to her favorite team as the Mariners beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-0.
Jones is said to credit her long life to exercise, eating beef and vegetables, and drinking alcohol just once a week.
Jones currently lives in a retirement community in Woodinville, Washington, where she wears her Mariners gear to watch every game.
