100 Strong: Voices for Change
We're sure you've heard the story 100 times about how important arts education is in the lives of our children and in our communities, and how programs are getting cut across the nation. The 100 voices you've heard briefly here are the collective thread that binds everything we all are trying to accomplish with this campaign, representing hundreds of thousands of young adults across the nation who dedicate themselves to become the absolute best of the best.
But what you have not yet heard are the 100 individual stories sharing one common bridge that transcends race, social status, and tax brackets: the life-changing, indelible influence arts education has on each of their lives. What this video does not yet tell is the story of Chula Vista High School who, although they created the event and have hosted it every year for 16 years, could not perform this year because its arts education funding was cut. Chula Vista, honored as a GRAMMY Foundation Signature School not once but twice, hosted the event regardless .
Help us make sure what happened to Chula Vista High School does not continue to happen to other schools across the nation. Produced by Sunset Lane Entertainment, LLC and ZZYZX Films 2011
